Rugby returns to the Rec with a West Country Derby of epic proportions. As well as 80 minutes of Gallagher Premiership rugby action on the pitch, here’s everything to look forward to from when gates open at 14:30.
Season Ticket Holder Q&A
The first Q&A of the season will take place on the outfield at the Rec (15:30-16:15), with Chief Executive Tarquin McDonald, Academy Manager Andy Rock and Academy starlet Miles Reid answering your questions about all things Blue, Black and White. A first come, first served and one in, one out policy will be in place due to capacity restrictions. To gain entry, you will be asked to show your season ticket on the door. Meet the players at our player signing session
A chance to meet your Bath Rugby heroes. Some of Bath’s highest profile players will be in the player signing gazebo on the outfield where they will be chatting and giving away free 2018/19 squad posters for fans, don’t miss out! Join Jonathan Joseph, Beno Obano, Ross Batty and Charlie Ewels from 15:30 to 16:10 with any Blue, Black and White merchandise you’d like signed.
The Swift Half’s doors will be wide open from 14:30, offering punters £1 off selected drinks until 15:30 when Happy Hour ends. Bath Ales will be providing beers samples and Sulis is also available on tap.
Flags and Flames
Get your flag waving arm ready! Get yourself mood for the first home game of the season and show your support for the Blue, Black and White with free supporter flags around the ground. The matchday atmosphere will truly come to life when the team run out between plumes of coloured smoke and fire.
The ever popular crossbar challenge is back with the chance to win two tickets to The Clash: Bath Rugby v Bristol Bears on Saturday 6th April 2019. Make sure you’re watching at half time, but if you want to get involved, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Successful applicants will be contacted prior to matchday.
Enjoy a range of food and beverages on the outfield. New for 2018/19 (and due to popular demand) are Evie’s Mac and Cheese, while DS catering van will provide you with your fish and chips fix. Have a Pinch also have a jacket potato offering new for this season. There will also be drink hawkers roaming the ground with Thatchers Gold for anyone after a cold cider before the action gets underway.
Our supporter favourites The Payoff will take to the stage in the Swift Half as soon as the final whistle has blown, ready to get your Saturday night off to a rocking start.
