Bath Rugby will be welcoming Pride of Britain & BBC Sports Personality of the Year Helen Rollason Award Winner, Phil Packer MBE, to the Recreation Ground as he carries out his BRIT 2012 Challenge. Having started on the 24th January 2012, Phil is walking 2012 miles in every county of Great Britain and Northern Ireland including Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man throughout 2012, and he is asking three things;

  • Every School, College and University registers for the BRIT 2012 Challenge at www.BRIT2012Challenge.org.uk to complete 2012 miles during 2012 as teams to simply acknowledge and inspire youth who face their darkest times
  • For 2012 Businesses to Pledge either £10,000 or £5000 to build a £15million BRIT Centre for charities to send young people facing adversity so BRIT can support other charities and young people.  Businesses are also encouraged to take part in the BRIT 2012 Challenge and complete 2012 miles as a workforce
  • The public, as individuals or a team, to complete the 2012 miles for any charity of their choice and use BT Mydonate so 100% goes to charity – BRIT is visionary as it supports other charities and encourages the public to continue to support their chosen charity.

To find out more, and to show your support to Phil visit www.BRIT2012Challenge.org.uk or you can follow Phil on Twitter @PhilPacker or on Facebook at BRITInspiration.

The Bath Rugby squad will be warming up in Sport Relief t-shirts, to help raise money and awareness for Sport Relief.  Three of the t-shirts will then be signed by the entire squad and put up for a silent auction.

The reserve price for each of the signed Sport Relief t-shirts is £75 and 100% of the money raised will go directly to Sport Relief.

The auction will commence from the start of the warm up before the Saints game until 5pm on Tuesday 3rd April 2012.

To be in with a chance to secure one of the winning bids, simply send an email to marketing@bathrugby.com  and put the subject as 'Silent Auction'.  Include your full name, contact telephone number and the amount you would like to bid.

The three winning bidders will be contacted by 2pm on Friday 6th April.
