Ahead of the first home fixture of the season against Worcester Warriors this Saturday, we will be making a few changes in order to make your matchday experience at the Rec more enjoyable.
TO REDUCE THE QUEUES
WE ARE CASH-FREE
Having been phased in at the end of the 2018/19 season, all Bath Rugby bars and concession stands on the outfield will be cash-free.
The move to cash-free is designed to speed up transactions and reduce queuing times to ensure that supporters have less time away from the game.
The Rec will be able to process all major debit and credit cards (including American Express), with chip and pin applying to all purchases over £30. Bar and food outlets will also accept Google Pay and Apple Pay.
PROGRAMMES
Programme sellers are the only vendors that will accept cash on matchdays. Unfortunately, they will be unable to process card payments, but this is something which we will be looking to work towards during the 2019/20 season. Programmes will be sold at the usual price of £3.50 from sellers around the ground.
TAP AND GO APP
We've upgraded the WiFi at the Rec and we strongly recommend using our Tap and Go App (available to download on Apple and Android), which enables you to spend less time queuing by pre-ordering drinks and snacks. Collection points are located in the Swift Half, Gem Stand (West Stand) and Thatchers Terrace (North Terrace). Download the app here.
GEM STAND LOOS
Both men’s toilets have been completely redesigned and a new one way in, one way out system is now in place to help you get in and out faster.
PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT – RE-USE AND REFILL
REDUCING THE USE OF SINGLE-USE PLASTIC
We are working towards being single-use plastic free on a matchday. As part of this commitment, bars and concessions will no longer be selling plastic bottles.
This small change will allow us to save over 50,000 plastic bottles over the next three seasons. None of Bath Rugby’s waste goes to landfill.
REUSABLE BOTTLES
We recommend you bring your own refillable bottles but just in case you forget, Official Bath Rugby reusable metal bottles will be available to buy at every bar at the Rec at a reduced cost of £5.
NEW REFILL WATER STATIONS
New refill water stations have been installed at the Rec in the four corners of the ground to enable supporters to refill water bottles on matchdays.
Bath Rugby return to the Rec this Saturday, as Worcester Warriors make the short trip to face the Blue, Black and White in the Premiership Rugby Cup.
We look forward to seeing you during the 2019/20 season.
