Vote for a special design element of ‘The Clash’ charity shirt in aid of Help for Heroes and Bath Rugby Foundation

7 November 2016

When Bath Rugby run out at Twickenham on the 8th April for ‘The Clash’, the players will be wearing a unique shirt that has been specially designed by the Club’s Official Kit Suppliers, Canterbury, and we are asking Bath Rugby supporters to help decide a key part of the design.

The shirt will have two inspirational quotes woven into it– one chosen by a beneficiary of Bath Rugby Foundation, the charitable arm of the Club, and one from Help for Heroes, Bath Rugby’s National Charity Partner.

We want you to help us decide by voting for which quotes are featured on the shirt.

Everyone who votes will be entered into a free draw to win one of these special shirts, signed by the Bath Rugby squad, and two top class tickets to ‘The Clash’. To enter, simply click the link below. Two winners will be drawn at random after the competition has closed on Friday 11th November.

Sport is a hugely vital part of the work that both Bath Rugby Foundation and Help for Heroes do, helping to improve the lives of their beneficiaries.

Bath Rugby Foundation was set up to empower young people in Bath and surrounding areas to succeed. They use the values of rugby to inspire young people to create a better future for themselves, with a focus on improving Health, Education, Employability and Inclusion in the South West.

Help for Heroes offer direct, practical support to those who have suffered life-changing injuries and illnesses while serving our country. They provide comprehensive tailored support, from psychological wellbeing and sports recovery to financial grants and career support.

The quotes:

“Sport is the passion in my life that gets me out of bed, drives the rehabilitation of my broken body and challenges my own limits I place on my disability. Nothing is impossible.”

“Sport is mind over matter. No matter the obstacle, sport empowers your body and mind to overcome it.”

“Sport has always been a big part of my life. Since getting injured in Afghanistan I initially used it to get fit again and to prove that I could still do something. The past few years I've focused on hand cycling and it's allowed me to represent my country again.”

“Sport is fitness, fun, friends, rivalry, respect, ambition, inclusion - sport is life!”

The Clash

On Saturday 8th April 2017, Bath Rugby will become the first non-London based club to move a regular season Aviva Premiership game to Twickenham Stadium, where they will face old rivals Leicester Tigers.

Our aim is to create an affordable, fun family day out, that has entertainment for all ages throughout the day and a cracking game of rugby at its heart. As well as appealing to our core supporters, we want to give our wider supporter base across London and the South East, who don’t get the opportunity to come to the Rec, the chance to experience a Bath Rugby matchday.

The Clash is included in full season ticket packages, and tickets are on sale now with prices starting at £5 for juniors and £15 for adults. To buy tickets, or for more information about the game, please click here.
