Three Academy players involved in Round 2 of U20 Six Nations

8 February 2023

England Under-20s Sam Harris and Wales Under-20s Louie Hennessey will continue at full-back and centre respectively in Round 2 of the U20 Six Nations.

Eddie Erskine has been named as a replacement for Scotland Under-20s.

Harris started in the 15 jersey in England's opening round win over Scotland Under-20s, kicking four conversions and a penalty.

England head to Gloucester’s Kingsholm for their Round 2 outing against an Italy side that almost caused a shock against France. Gil Azzurri, who defeated England 6-0 in the same fixture last season, lost by a single point to Les Bleu.

Hennessey was also on the scoresheet, crossing for an early try in a loss to Ireland and also assisted a try. An out-the-back pass which also led to a score saw the young Welshman lauded by Sonny Bill Williams on social media.

Wales take on Scotland in Round 2 after suffering a 44-27 defeat to the Irish.

Going up against Hennessey, Erskine has been named as a Scottish replacement for the second game running.

The young lock earned his Under-20s debut last time out against Harris' England and he now faces another Academy opponent, this time on home soil.

Both matches will take place on Friday 11 February and are available to watch on BBC iPlayer. (kick-off 19:00 (England U20 v Italy U20), kick-off 19:15 (Scotland U20 v Wales U20).
