Bath Rugby can confirm its postponed Champions Cup match against Toulon will be played on the weekend of 8/9/10 January 2016.
As such, the Aviva Premiership Rugby Round 9 match between Bath Rugby and Sale Sharks, which was due to be played on Friday 8th January 2016, will now take place later in the season on a date to be announced.
Following the completion of discussions between EPCR, the Ligue Nationale de Rugby, Premiership Rugby and PRO12 Rugby to reschedule the six European club matches which were postponed due to the Paris attacks, it has been agreed by all parties that the games will be played on the weekend of 8/9/10 January 2016 in advance of Round 5 of the European Rugby Champions Cup and Challenge Cup.
EPCR have thanked the three leagues and all the clubs involved for their collaboration and understanding during the rescheduling process.
The decision to play the postponed games on the second weekend in January means that the Round 13 fixtures in the TOP 14 will now be played later in the season, as will the following Round 12 fixtures in the Guinness PRO12: Ulster Rugby v Newport Gwent Dragons, Zebre Rugby v Glasgow Warriors, and Cardiff Blues v Munster Rugby.
The new exact dates, kick-off times and television coverage of the five Champions Cup fixtures and one Challenge Cup match will be announced as soon as possible.
TOULON AND SALE SHARKS TICKET HOLDER INFORMATION
Following the PRL statement regarding the rescheduling of our away tie against Toulon in the European Champions Cup, we can now confirm the ticketing arrangements for those who purchased tickets for the original match scheduled on Sunday 15th November.
Those supporters who purchased tickets who are
- wishing to attend the rearranged match on the weekend of 8th January in Toulon, should keep hold of their existing tickets. These tickets will be valid for the newly-scheduled tie.
- unable to attend the match on the weekend of 8th January and wish to have a refund on tickets purchased through Bath Rugby’s Ticket Office should return the tickets as soon as possible.
Bath Rugby will need all tickets purchased returned to the Ticket Office. Once we have your tickets, we will then contact you via the phone to process your refund. Please send tickets via recorded delivery to Bath Rugby Ticket Office, 8 Pulteney Bridge, Bath BA2 4AX.
The window for refunds will be open from Monday 30th November until Thursday 10th December. Unfortunately we will be unable to process any refunds beyond this date.
The Ticket Office will only be able to refund tickets that are physically returned. It is imperative that tickets are sent via recorded delivery. If tickets do not arrive at the Ticket Office, we will be unable to process the transaction any further.
Bath Rugby v Sale Sharks – Originally scheduled for Friday 8th January 2016, KO 7.45pm
This fixture will now be rescheduled to a later date in the season, to be confirmed in a matter of weeks.
Once these details have been confirmed, supporters who have already purchased tickets who are:
- still planning on attending the match should keep hold of their tickets – these will be valid for the rescheduled match.
- unable to attend the rearranged match and wish to have a refund on tickets purchased should return the tickets as soon as possible once a refund window has been communicated.
