The Paragon U11's took on Bath Youth Rugby U11's in Bath United curtain raiser

22 December 2011

Monday night, at the Recreation Ground, The Paragon U11’s took on Bath Youth Rugby U11’s as a curtain raiser prior to the Bath United match against Gloucester. This was initially prompted by The Paragon’s School’s 100th anniversary celebrations.

It was an exciting game under floodlights and watched by enthusiastic parents and siblings on both sides, who all had a fantastic time and it created a brilliant atmosphere prior to the United game.

Toby Goodman, Director of Sport at The Paragon said of the event: “It was a perfect occasion, an exciting match (with a brilliant result!) and it was extremely well co-ordinated by Bath Rugby.  The boys and parents had a fantastic time, certainly something they will never forget.”

Nick Blofeld, Bath Rugby’s Chief Executive said: “We were very happy to host this game, there was great excitement for the children and their parents and I think the players will remember the moment for a long time.  We may well have started something that could become an annual event for The Paragon and other young rugby sides.”

The final result was Paragon School 3 tries to Bath Minis 2.
