As many of you may now have noticed the Big Screen has been installed at the Rec in the corner of the Novia Stand and the Thatchers Terrace. This is the latest step Bath Rugby have taken in investing in the infrastructure of the Rec to enhance our supporters experience on a match day; including creating better use of space under the East stand to increase toilet provision, new PA system and the refurbishing of elements of the clubhouse.
The screen will be up and running for the LV= Cup match against Worcester Warriors in a basic format as it has only just been commisioned. Its true potential will be realised over the next few matches when its full content will be available allowing us to show interviews, half time entertainment and a variety of impressive animations.
We will also be able to show our matches on the screen where there is a broadcast quality feed available, unfortunately this will not be the case this weekend as the match is not televised.
The screen uses the latest technology from the USA and is widely used in the NFL. It measures 40 sq metres and has a HD 15 pixel screen providing a great picture quality and good vision from both near and far side of the ground. Currently there is only one other screen like it in Europe and this will be the first time this technology and quality of screen will be used in European Rugby.
Tickets are still available for the LV= Cup game against Worcester Warriors, Kick-off 2:15pm. To make sure you're there for the big screens first outing call the ticket office on 0844 4481865.
