Rokoduguni selected for the Army's match v the RAF

25 March 2022

LCpl Semesa Rokoduguni (SCOTS DG) has been named in the Army Men side to take on the RAF on Saturday in the opening round of the 2022 Inter-Services Championship.

The wing, who is approaching 150 Premiership matches and has two tries in his last five league matches for Bath Rugby, lines up in the 11 shirt for the clash at Kingsholm (15:15 kick-off).

Due to Covid, there has been a three-year absence in Forces rivalry and Rokoduguni is relishing the opportunity to pull on the red shirt again.

“This is where everything started for me, where I began my rugby journey,” he told the Army Rugby Union website.

“To represent the Army is a massive thing for me, an honour and a privilege to be picked.

“Most of the guys I’ve talked to, they say that I’m lucky to be given the opportunity, and I never take it for granted.

“It’s been two years since I was in the team, so getting back together with them has been good.

“There was a great energy in the squad, the training was tough, but it was enjoyable.”
