New Bath Rugby signing Rhys Priestland will start for Wales in their opening 2015 Rugby World Cup tie against Uruguay on Sunday at the Millennium Stadium (k.o. 14:30), whilst Dominic Day is named on the bench.
The 35-times capped fly-half Priestland is playing in his second Rugby World Cup, with second row Day out to earn his third cap for Wales.
Former Bath Rugby props Paul James and Aaron Jarvis are also named in the squad to face the South Americans.
“The squad are extremely excited to kick their Rugby World Cup campaign off on Sunday,” said Wales Head Coach Warren Gatland. “Playing in a World Cup, in your home country, at your home ground is a great honour and I’m sure the players will take that into the game.
"Uruguay will be looking to show what they are capable of and we know we need to be clinical on Sunday."
