Semesa Rokoduguni's powerful and effective displays this season have earned him a place on the shortlist for the Gatorade Game Changer of the Season at this year's Aviva Premiership Rugby Awards.
The Gatorade Game Changer award rewards performances in Aviva Premiership Rugby and the winner will be announced at a sold out ceremony at the London Hilton, Park Lane on Thursday 15 May.
Each month, the boffins at Opta analysed every game to name the player responsible for the most effective single performance during that time. They focus on quantifiable statistics like metres gained, carries and tackles made. Points are awarded for each area of every player's performance.
Of the eight players awarded with the Game Changer of the Month this season, three players – two forwards and a back - have come out on top to be named in the shortlist for the Gatorade Game Changer of the Season:
- Nick Easter – Harlequins
- Michael Paterson - Sale Sharks
- Semesa Rokoduguni – Bath Rugby
"These three shortlisted players for Gatorade Game Changer of the Season have put in impressive performances this season,” said Rugby Director at Premiership Rugby, Phil Winstanley.
"Players across the Aviva Premiership have been playing to a very high level week in week out. The exciting games these players have been involved in have contributed to a significant rise in attendances across the League.
"I would like to thank the team at Opta for the work they put in analysing every moment of every match in Aviva Premiership Rugby.”
