John Stewart, Orlando Bailey, Ethan Staddon and Ewan Richards have all been selected in a 40-player squad for the first U18 men’s development camp of the season.
England U18s’ season started with the three-game tour of South Africa in which the side played three matches in the U18 International Series.
The development squad includes 21 of that group that took on Argentina, France and South Africa in August.
The camp takes place at Bisham Abbey National Sports centre between October 28-31st and is seen as vital preparation ahead of the continuation of the U18 international calendar.
Academy Manager, Craig Lilley, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for a number of young men who have performed consistently this season. Ethan, John and Orlando have continued to develop well with us here over the summer, and within the Bath Rugby Partnership programme at Beechen Cliff since September and Ewan will no doubt keep pushing on with Millfield School in the coming weeks, before we begin to see more of him again as we head into the U18 Academy League season in December.
"This experience will not only enhance the players’ skills in the short term, but will help provide some strong reference points to guide their development in the long term, we feel they all have genuine potential to push on well beyond being very good U18s, so this is an important part of their Journeys"
“There are a number of other young players who are developing well in our U18s, it is important to also recognise that. The four guys no doubt deserve their selections, but we also have many others, such as Gabe Goss and Frankie Read who are not included but who are also working incredibly hard and performing well this season. The strength within our Pathway in the U18s is something we are excited about, and we're proud of the four players who have got some recognition from England within this selection"
