Starting this month as a pilot service, PRTV Live will be streamed directly to fans, completing the circle in live match viewing and providing supporters with an unrivalled service.
PRTV Live will show the Bath Rugby games that are not broadcast by BT Sport or ITV – starting with the match against Newcastle Falcons on 25 February.
Bath Rugby captain Charlie Ewels said of the new streaming service: “The launch of PRTV Live means that our supporters don’t have to miss us play because they can’t make the game, or it isn’t being streamed on BT Sport or ITV.
“It’s another step in the journey to grow the sport and make Premiership Rugby accessible to as many people as possible, which is really important to us as players. The fans really make the game what it is, so knowing that they – and our friends and family – can watch every game they want to is a huge positive and a big morale boost for the guys.
“We’re hoping the fans make the most of PRTV Live and get behind the lads for our match against Newcastle Falcons on Saturday.”
The matches will be available to purchase via the Premiership Rugby website from 21 February 2022; the first matches will be streamed on the Premiership Rugby app on 25 February. From 25 March PRTV Live will also be available via desktop. A match pass will cost £4.99, and a full round pass will cost £6.99.
