Former Bath Rugby scrum-half Peter Stringer gives his three players to watch ahead of Sunday's clash against one of his other former sides, Sale Sharks.
A rugby league convert, New Zealand-born Solomona is a threat to any defence, with 27 tries in 44 appearances for Sale.
On Solomona, Stringer said: “This guy is as good a finisher as any player I’ve ever come across. The first season that I was playing there he was unbelievable, scoring tries for fun.”
Faf de Klerk
Faf de Klerk joined Sale from South Africa side Lions at the beginning of the 2017/18 season. He was one of Sale Sharks' stand out players last season and showed his quality during South Africa’s victorious three-test series against England.
Stringer said: “He was nominated for World Player of the Year and he’s been incredible for Sale Sharks. He’s a goal kicker and a great support player - he dictates a lot of the things they do, especially at the breakdown and I think the wingers come in looking at the ball.”
Jono Ross joined Sale Sharks from French side Stade Francais at the beginning of the 2017/18 season. He has been a consistent performer for Sale Sharks with his physicality and work rate.
“He’s been one of the top performers consistently," Stringer said. I don’t know him personally as I left before he joined, but physically he is very dominant and an incredible leader. I think he’s been one of the best signings Sale have made in the last few years.”
