Max's tour of the summer's greatest sporting spectacles continued with his recent visit to Lord's, the Home of Cricket, to see England take on Pakistan in the first of four Tests.
The England team might have been surprised to see a fourth lion in the crowd - to go with the three already on their badge - but Max hopes that didn't contribute to their undoing by the Pakistan team's excellent bowling.
"It was always going to be a tough one, what with Pakistan having only lost one Test series in three years," said an entertained Maximus, who also noted that the visitors had triumphed in six from seven of their last five-day meetings with England. "It was a real masterclass in bowling from Pakistan, but England weren't without fight, especially with top-class players like Jonny Bairstow to the fore."
The second Test between the two teams takes place at Old Trafford this Friday 22nd July, with Max hoping to take in one more day at the cricket before his next sporting visit this weekend (which you can read about next week).
