Anthony Watson was delighted with Bath Rugby's last-gasp win over Leicester Tigers, but insists his side only played to '65-70% of our capability'.
The Blue, Black and Whites battled back to record a 21-20 victory over their old Gallagher Premiership rivals with Will Muir’s 78th-minute try slotted expertly from the touchline by Ben Spencer.
Full-back Watson admits it wasn’t Bath’s most clinical display and opportunities were left out there. However, the England international suggests it was a result perhaps a Bath side of old may not have secured.
“Historically, since I’ve been at the club, those are games we would have lost in the past,” he said.
“To pick up four points in the Premiership is key. Every point is vital, especially when you consider we only played to 65-70% of our capability.
“We left loads of opportunities out there so there is stuff to fix, as there is every week, but a lot more than usual this week. It definitely gives us confidence but there is other stuff we need to sort out.”
