Match Highlights: Bath Rugby 29-27 Bristol Bears

6 March 2022

Bath Rugby completed an incredible comeback in the 85TH MINUTE to secure a first win over Bristol Bears for three years.

Tom de Glanville was the man to finish the job after a brilliant team effort turned around a 21-point deficit.

Bristol were quick out the blocks and went 21-0 up before Semesa Rokoduguni's finish and Callum Sheedy kicked a penalty to see the visitors, who had Siva Naulago sent off, 24-5 ahead at the break.

In the second half, the Blue, Black and Whites regroup and upped the intensity with Jonathan Joseph, Taulupe Faletau and Joe Cokanasiga earning a try bonus.

The latter's try levelled the match at 24 points apiece and when Sheedy added three points from the tee late on, it looked like the Bears may have stole victory.

However, back came Bath and a tackle off the ball by Theo Strang, for which he was sin binned, gave the hosts one final shot at winning the contest. After a few phases, the ball was spread wide de Glanville dived in to make the Rec erupt.
