Francois Louw will play in his home city of Cape Town this Saturay as the Springboks face a World XV at Newlands as part of their World Cup preparations.
Louw, who played in the corresponding fixture last year when South Africa won 47-13, will pack down in the back row alongside Warren Whiteley, who makes his first start in the Green and Gold, and number eight Marcell Coetzee.
Victor Matfield captains the Boks, whilst Jean de Villiers makes an inspirational comeback to top-level rugby from the bench, almost eight months after suffering a horrific knee injury.
"Warren is a specialist No 8 and will have big shoes to fill with Duane Vermeulen out injured. Although he has played in only two Tests, he brings experience and leadership to the pack, having led the Emirates Lions with great style this season.
"The reason we've decided to go with Francois Louw and Marcell Coetzee is because we have lost some ball-stealing ability with Duane not available, but both our flanks can now fulfil that role."
