Five Bath Rugby players enjoyed time out on loan over the weekend.
Three players – Darren Atkins, Archie Griffin and Nahum Merigan – had minutes in the Championship while George Worboys and Frankie Read started in National League One.
Griffin made his debut for Richmond last time out and he followed up with a try on his second appearance. A late call-up due to injury, the tighthead prop crossed from close range late on for a consolation score as the Londoners were beaten 28-17 by Nottingham. Atkins also played in the match, starting at full-back.
Elsewhere in the second tier of English rugby, Merigan debuted for Ampthill at blindside flanker as the Bedfordshire outfit edged out Caldy 17-16 away from home.
A division below, Worboys kicked 10 points in a win for Taunton Titans against Darlington Mowden Park. Centre-turned-back row-turned-centre Read kept the 12 shirt for the second weekend in a row in the 35-26 victory.
