The Bath Rugby Head Coach watched his side draw 16-16 with the Zurich Premiership leaders and said that a win was what his side were after having led the game 13-0 at half time. "We are naturally disappointed right now," he said. "However, it was an incredible battle out there today and I am sure that it was a good game to watch. It was an incredibly physical game and it was played at test match intensity - that is for sure."
"The scrums were ferocious and I thought that we performed very well in that area. I thought that we played pretty well at times and I am pleased with some of the things that we did."
After yet another impressive display from Danny Grewcock and Steve Borthwick in the lineout, Connolly said that his pair should definitely be in the frame for starting positions during the forthcoming autumn international series. "I thought they (Grewcock and Borthwick) were outstanding today. I would be extremely pleased for them I they both make it into the England side."
