A series of "mesmeric performances" from Kyle Eastmond has led to the Bath Rugby centre being named Aviva Premiership Rugby Player of the Month for September.
Eastmond was acclaimed by former England wing Austin Healey as he took the first award of the season, with Healey believing he may have also solved a problem for Stuart Lancaster.
"For more than a couple of years now we've been looking for England's long term solution at 12," said Aviva Ambassador Healey. "The form of Kyle Eastmond through September could just have solved that quandary."
"Kyle's play has been mesmerising, consistent, powerful and above all great to watch. After the problems he had last season it is great to see him bounce back and play with a gleaming smile across his face."
Eastmond has started in all of Bath Rugby's five matches this season as they went to the top of the Aviva Premiership Rugby table, and inflicted the first defeat of the season upon Saracens.
He beat an impressive shortlist of Saracens outside-half Charlie Hodgson, Exeter Chiefs pair Thomas Waldrom and Henry Slade and Northampton Saints back George Pisi.
Healey, who is a BT Sport analyst, added: "His ability to create opportunity for others and finish chances with pace on his own, stands him out as the clear winner of September's Aviva Premiership Rugby Player of the Month."
The winner was voted for by a panel of media professionals: Nick Mullins (BT Sport), Alastair Eykyn (BT Sport), Mick Cleary (Daily Telegraph), Steve James (Sunday Telegraph), Sarah Mockford (Rugby World), Jill Douglas (ITV Sport), Chris Jones (Radio 5 Live), David Rogers (Getty Images) and Ben Coles (Planet Rugby). The panel was chaired by Paul Morgan, Premiership Rugby's Communications Director.
