Twenty-one teams from across the South West and London took on Bowood's challenging 18-hole course in the annual Bath Rugby Open golf day on Wednesday 3rd June.
Included in the team sheet were Bath Rugby legends Lee Mears and Matt Perry, along with current players George Ford, Matt Banahan, Chris Cook and Head Coach Mike Ford. The day began with a breathtaking performance from trick shot professional Geoff Swain, who gave players some inspirational new techniques to take out to the course.
The winning fourball was Tim Westwood, John Wormold, Pete Walford and Jeremy Westwood - all representing Kier Construction. Matt Perry was awarded the prize for longest drive for the second year running, winning a £100 gift voucher at House of Fraser, while Jeremy Parrott took first place in the closest-to-the-pin contest, winning an exclusive driving experience with our partners Mercedes Benz.
Bath Rugby would like to thank: our partner Getronics for sponsoring the event; Bowood for hosting a fantastic day; and VPar for supplying an electronic scoring system. Bath Rugby are very grateful to Great Western Wine, Ricoh, Famous Grouse and Bath Ales for generously supplying some brilliant prizes for the winning players.
