Bath Rugby are recruiting an Academy Manager to join the Club. The appointee will join an established team of staff and an established programme at Bath Rugby and they will be involved in all aspects of Academy operations, continuing to develop the regional pathway in order to optimise the identification and development of both players and coaches for Bath Rugby.
Bath Rugby's General Manager Stuart Hooper said, “Since joining Bath Rugby in September 2016 current Academy Manager Andy Rock has driven the programme both strategically and operationally to a position of genuine strength.
“Andy has done an exceptional job developing our player pathway, expertly supporting the development our people and embedding partnerships in our region, and some of his work has been recognised by the RFU and PRL as world-leading. There is clear and consistent evidence that our pathway is providing the right opportunities and developing players and staff who can progress within the game towards the very highest level.
“We will continue to benefit from Andy’s oversight of our Academy, however, we have the opportunity to utilise his skill-set more widely across Bath Rugby and will be broadening his role moving into the 2019/20 season.
“We look forward to seeing the academy department continue to grow and we are excited to see what this recruitment process will bring us, as we look to appoint the right individual to continue the journey and to deliver the strategic plan that underpins our objectives of developing local talent and producing a first team squad with 50% home grown players by 2023.”
