Four Bath Rugby Senior Academy players helped England Under-20s to a second Six Nations victory in a row against Scotland Under-20s.
Orlando Bailey and Ewan Richards started the match at Cardiff Arms Park on Friday while John Stewart and Nahum Merigan appeared from the bench in the 31-12 win.
Captain Jack van Poortvliet of Leicester Tigers, Worcester Warriors fly-half Fin Smith, Bristol Bears wing Deago Bailey, Harlequins’ Sam Riley and Arthur Relton of Exeter Chiefs were all on the scoresheet for England with Smith kicking six points.
Next up for England is Ireland on 1 July with kick off at 20:00 BST as they look to make it three wins from three in the championship.
"It was a fantastic effort from the players,” head coach Alan Dickens said.
“After the French game we said there were areas we could improve, and I think there are things we could improve going into the Ireland game, but we're really pleased with the result. The boys did really well to stick in. When we were down to 13 men, I thought the character they showed was outstanding."
Meanwhile Taulupe Faletau and Anthony Watson featured in the British and Irish Lions’ tour-opening 28-10 win against Japan at Murrayfield.
The duo began the match on the bench with Faletau introduced in the 21st minute for the injured Justin Tipuric while Watson replaced Liam Williams just past the hour.
Bath and Wales Number 8 Faletau excelled in defence, making 17 tackles and England man Watson made 14 metres during his short time on the field.
Four members of the Blue, Black and White were set to play in the England A v Scotland A fixture on Sunday.
The match was unfortunately cancelled due to positive covid-19 cases in the Scottish ranks meaning Josh Bayliss’ international debut has been put on hold.
Charlie Ewels, Beno Obano and Joe Cokanasiga were named in the England side.
