Bath Rugby today confirm that Miles Reid has suffered a potentially season-ending injury during Saturday’s fixture against Exeter Chiefs.
Reid has sustained an ACL rupture (knee) and the Performance Department will work with Miles in the short, medium and long-term to make sure he is given the best rehabilitation possible.
“Miles has had to overcome injuries before as he has progressed to where he is now in his young career.
“He has always demonstrated a huge amount of mental strength and professionalism, which will serve him well during this rehabilitation.
"We have no doubt Miles can come back stronger and even better prepared to impact the Premiership, and we will support him in every way we can to ensure he has the best possible rehabilitation and return to performance,” said Director of Rugby, Stuart Hooper."
An update will be provided with regards to cover for Reid’s position once the Club understand the availability of players within the market in conjunction with current squad depth and the complexity of planning the return of the World Cup contingent.
