Sam Harris has been called up to the England Under-18s squad to play France in the first overseas international since the start of the pandemic.
Bath Rugby Under-18s back Harris, who can play fly-half or centre, starred throughout the U18 Academy League season with tries and kicks at goal aplenty as well as a fantastic array of passes and neat running play.
A Millfield School student, Harris recently enjoyed a three-day camp away with England and debuted at Under-18 level against Italy last August.
England’s game against France takes place in France at Stade Eugene Rossi, Saint-Raphael on Saturday 5 March at 15:30 (GMT).
Head Coach Jonathan Pendlebury said: “It feels like a real milestone to be playing internationals again at this level.
“Players have missed out a lot on opportunities to play competitively against other nations over the past two years, so we’re delighted to be heading to France this week.
“We’ve got a wide squad that has worked together through development camps this season with the focus of exploring boundaries they may perceive individually, positionally and as a team. They have been regularly playing age group rugby for school, college, club and academy this season and I know they are all relishing the chance to represent England.”
