George Ford claimed the Gilbert Golden Boot at last night’s Aviva Premiership Rugby Awards at the London Hilton, Park Lane.
The award is given to the player who scores the most points in the regular Aviva Premiership season, and Ford’s 235 points saw off his nearest challenger, Northampton Saints’ Stephen Myler, by 15 points.
An impressive 25 of Ford’s overall points tally came from tries, with the young fly-half proving himself equally devastating with the ball in hand as with the boot this season.
In further recognition of Bath Rugby’s achievements in 2013/14, Semesa Rokoduguni and Kyle Eastmond were named in the BT Sport Dream Team.
