McNally to make England debut as five Bath Rugby players named to face USA

2 July 2021

Josh McNally will earn his first cap on Sunday when England take on USA at Twickenham.

The second row, who was named Bath Rugby's Best Forward for the 2020/21 season, has been in outstanding form for the Blue, Black and White and deserves his opportunity on the international stage.

He will start the match against the Eagles alongside a familiar face in club captain Charlie Ewels who will make his 22nd outing for England.

Flanker Sam Underhill has recovered from concussion to take the number seven jersey for his 23rd cap while Joe Cokanasiga deservedly returns to the England fold on the wing.

Beno Obano gets his chance to impress by coming on as a replacement.

Head coach Eddie Jones said: "Over the past three weeks our biggest message to the players is what an opportunity this is to show what they can do and make their mark with England.

"They've applied themselves as a group and worked very hard individually during this camp to reach their personal bests.

"Now it's all about coming together as a team, gelling and putting in a good performance at the weekend."
