Bath Rugby's Breakthrough Player of the Season, Ewan Richards, will head to the Mediterranean this week for the Six Nations U20 Summer Series.
He'll be joined by half-back pairing Tom Carr-Smith and Sam Harris, back rower Ethan Staddon and hooker John Stewart.
Versatile Harris will be hoping to earn his first England U20 cap as he travels out to Italy, having had an impressive year with England's U18s.
Also hoping for his first cap is Staddon, who migrated from the second row to the back row after showing his athleticism and versatility within the U18 Academy League.
Richards was called up to Eddie Jones's training camp last month and heads to the U20 tournament having had a spell with England's senior squad.
Also hoping to add to their England U20 tally are Carr-Smith and Stewart who will want to continue to showcase what they can do at an international level.
Bath Rugby's Academy Manager, Craig Lilley, said
"To have five players tour with England U20 this summer is a fantastic achievement. We’re really looking forward to seeing how they develop in a new environment overseas before returning to the club ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.”
The U20 side are in a strong pool and will face South Africa, France and Ireland, with Head Coach Alan Dickens confident the team has prepared well during their recent training camp in Newcastle.
"We’ve got a great mix of players in the squad. Some with experience of playing at U20 level already and a number of players who are new to the squad. I’m really pleased with the way they are all supporting and learning from one another," said Dickens.
"We have challenging opposition in our pool games, against South Africa, France and Ireland. We’ve prepared well and the squad looks forward to the challenges an international series such as this provides."
