Seven Bath Rugby players are in contention to play for England A against Scotland A on Sunday.
The squad have reconvened at The Lensbury, Teddington today ahead of their opening game in a week’s time – England A v Scotland A at Mattioli Woods Welford Road, Leicester (Sunday 27 June, 14:00 kick-off).
England head coach Eddie Jones will name a further updated squad on Monday 28 June, following the Gallagher Premiership final and England A v Scotland A.
Another Bath Rugby Academy graduate in Josh Bayliss could play in the England A v Scotland A with the back rower on international duty with the Scots. Departing prop Jamie Bhatti is also in the Scotland squad.
England will then play two Test matches at Twickenham Stadium – against USA on Sunday 4 July (14:00 kick-off) and Canada on Saturday 10 July (15:00 kick-off).
Jones said: “We had a really good training week last week. We’ve now added some new players and are looking forward to working with them.
“The players who aren’t with us now acquitted themselves really well in training and though they are disappointed to go home, we’ve made the point to them that if they keep working hard then there will be more opportunities for them.
“We will treat the week as a Test week, everyone will work hard and be ready for a competitive game on Sunday."
