Eight Bath Rugby players have been selected in Eddie Jones’ England summer series training week squad to prepare for summer matches against Scotland A, USA and Canada.
Five of the eight selected have graduated through the Bath Rugby pathway with a sixth in Josh Bayliss (Scotland) also set to be involved on the international stage.
Bath Director of Rugby Stuart Hooper said:“We are extremely proud to have eight players selected in the England squad.
"It is recognition for all their hard work and commitment during what has been a challenging year for everyone.
“For Charlie and Sam, it is another earned opportunity to wear the rose and represent the club on the international stage as they have done so well over the past couple of years.
“We are really pleased for Joe, Beno and Benny. Since returning from his injury, Joe has worked incredibly to bring his game back to and beyond the level we have come to know of him while Beno deservedly has the chance to add to his first taste of international rugby experienced back in the 2021 Six Nations.
“Benny thoroughly deserves his England call-up; he’s really stepped up for us when a lot of guys were away, kicking for goal, kicking for touch and marshalling the team. A massive credit to him for the work he has put in.
“To have three homegrown players called up to England in Tom de Glanville, Max Ojomoh and Miles Reid, as well as Josh Bayliss with Scotland, is a true demonstration of the Bath Rugby pathway. All four continue to give their absolute everything to the club and their teammates and we are incredibly proud of their latest achievements.”
The squad will meet up at The Lensbury on Monday 14 June for a five-day training camp.
