Bath Rugby hosted two fantastic Bath Combination finals at the Rec on Wednesday night.
In an earlier kick-off, Old Sulians and Combe Down, coached by Tom Ellis, went head-to-head for Vase glory before Chippenham – who Tom Dunn, Max Ojomoh, Thompson Cowan, and Archie Stanley all hail from – took on Keynsham for the Cup.
Approximately 2,500 people were in attendance across the two matches and there was a lot of eye-catching rugby on show.
Combe Down produced a powerful display up front and scored some well-worked tries to eventually overcome a resilient Old Sulians side, 29-9.
‘The Battle of the A4’ went the way of Chippenham in an extremely close contest against Keynsham. The scoreline was tight throughout and Keynsham held a late lead before a late converted try and penalty secured Chippenham a 20-14 victory.
Congratulations to all four sides for their involvement and congratulations to Combe Down and Chippenham on their successes.
