Further to previous updates, the Club is pleased to confirm that Zach Mercer and Charlie Ewels will not require surgery on the knee injuries sustained during the Heineken Champions Cup Rounds One and Two.
Both Mercer and Ewels will have a period of time in a knee brace to aid recovery before progressing their rehabilitation with the Club. They will work with the Performance Department over the course of the next two to three months to come back ready to perform at their very best.
Director of Rugby, Stuart Hooper said: “It’s incredibly positive to hear that Charlie and Zach will not need to undergo surgery as part of their rehabilitation. I know that on top of their recovery they will take every opportunity to both improve themselves and contribute to the squad in every way that they can.”
