Canterbury Roadshow confirmed for Family Festival of Rugby

5 August 2015

Bath Rugby's FREE Family Festival of Rugby kicks-off the 150th anniversary for the Club on Saturday, and Official Kit Supplier Canterbury will be joining the celebrations by bringing their Canterbury Roadshow to the Recreation Ground.

Supporters can step into the footsteps of their rugby idols through a host of interactive experiences and storytelling, cementing Canterbury's commitment to the game over the past 111 years.

Two different changing room areas have been created to take you on a journey from the grassroots level of the sport through to the experiences of the professional player, with inspirational touches such as Canterbury Ambassador Will Greenwood's genuine England under 21 match shirt on display for supporters to see.

The roadshow will be making 14 stops across England, Wales and Ireland, travelling to Leicester, Belfast, Galway, Cork, Dublin, Twickenham, Cardiff, Newham and Manchester, before finishing in Trafalgar Square, London.

Gates at the Rec open at 9.30, with a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Join the likes of Nick Auterac, Nathan Catt and Leroy Houston playing Tag Rugby on the outfield, or visit popular children's character Tractor Ted as he brings some farming amusements to the day.

Junior Membership Club leader Maximus will be on hand for pictures and autographs with our young supporters, as will members of the First Team (older supporters can have their photos taken too!).

You can get behind the scenes at Bath Rugby with a series of insightful question-and-answer sessions on nutrition, strength and condition and the Academy, with Head Coach Mike Ford offering his thoughts as well. There will also be tours of the changing rooms, so you can see where the Bath players get themselves ready before running out in front of the roaring crowds.

If you were lucky enough to book a place on one of our sold-out skills clinics then you'll have the likes of Matt Banahan, Stuart Hooper and Ollie Devoto teaching you how it's done.

A fantastic day for all the family is in store and all for free - we'll see you there!

Q&As in the Swift Half will take place at the following times:

Nutrition: 10.30**
Strength and Conditioning: 11.45**
Academy Q&A: 13.00**
Mike Ford Q&A: 14.15**

**Please note, timings are subject to change on all Q&As
