Burns, Dunn and Green all start against Gloucester Rugby

7 September 2018

Freddie Burns, Tom Dunn and Max Green all start for Bath Rugby as they face Gloucester Rugby in the West Country derby on Saturday at the Rec, kick-off 16:30.

Bath field a new half-back pairing, with Burns starting at fly-half against his former side, with Green at scrum-half.

The rest of the backline remains unchanged, as Jackson Willison continues in the midfield alongside Jamie Roberts. Joe Cokanasiga and Semesa Rokoduguni retain their places on the wing, with Tom Homer at full-back.

There is one change in the pack with Tom Dunn coming into the front row, with the hooker starting alongside Nathan Catt and Henry Thomas. Dave Attwood will also come up against his old club, as he features at lock alongside captain Matt Garvey.

Zach Mercer starts at blindside flanker, fresh from signing a two-year contract extension this week. Sam Underhill and Taulupe Faletau complete the back row at openside flanker and number eight respectively.

Jacques van Rooyen could make his first appearance for the Club, whilst Tom Ellis is in line to make his 50th appearance in the Blue, Black and White.
