Blackadder: “We need your support this Saturday”

18 January 2017

Bath Rugby Director of Rugby, Todd Blackadder, knows that a home quarter-final is on the line against Pau this Saturday, and wants as many supporters as possible to head down to the Rec to cheer the team on to victory.

“Our European destiny is really in our hands now – five points against Pau on Saturday will give us a home quarter-final, but we need the loud and passionate backing of our fantastic supporters to help make that happen.

“We want to back up the performance from last week on our home turf, and it should be a great afternoon at the Rec. The weather is forecast to be a dry, winter’s day, and we want our supporters to create an intimidating atmosphere – it really adds an extra edge to the game in our favour.”

For the first time this season, Blackadder is naming the same starting XV for the second week in a row, with Robbie Fruean set to make his home debut.

It will also be the last week until March that Bath supporters get to see the England players run out in the Blue, Black and White as they head off into training camp for the RBS 6 Nations from Sunday.

Make sure you are there to help the boys secure a place in the knock-out stages of the European Rugby Challenge Cup by buying your tickets today. They are available online here, over the phone on 0844 448 1865 or in person at the Ticket Office on Pulteney Bridge.
