Bath Rugby can today confirm its Women’s Sevens squad for a number of top-flight Sevens tournaments.
The club announced its intention to form the side in February and following a successful trial involving over 50 players, a squad of 16 players from across the region has been assembled by Bath Rugby Women & Girls Development Lead, Maria Crowfoot.
The announcement of the 16 players is another significant milestone in Bath Rugby history and marks another step forward in the club’s journey to developing a professional women’s team.

The group have spent the past couple of weeks training together and preparing for the Super Sevens Series.
They will undergo a development camp before heading to Newbury Sevens on Saturday 14 May.
A week later, the Blue, Black and White Sevens will play in South Island Sevens on the Isle of Wight before ending the month with a tournament taking place at London Irish’s training base, Hazelwood.
Bournemouth Sevens will take place at the start of June ahead of a competition at Stafford RFC and the Super Sevens Series will conclude at Aldershot Military Base on Saturday 25 June.
Bath Rugby Women’s Sevens will have high-quality 360 support from the Southern Academy of Sport throughout their Sevens season, which includes strength and conditioning, sports science and medical.
“We are hugely excited to be announcing 16 players who will represent Bath Rugby this spring,” Crowfoot said.
“The make-up of the squad is a brilliant mix across our region and includes nine clubs/universities represented.
"It shows the wealth of talent we have, and we are looking forward to gelling them into our first ever Women’s Sevens team.”
