As Bath Rugby welcome Harlequins to the Rec for Round 3 of the Aviva Premiership this Saturday (k.o. 13:30), we look back at our three previous fixtures against the team from south west London.
The last time Quins visited the Rec, on 28th November 2014, the home team enjoyed a superb 25-6 victory, scoring four tries through Matt Banahan, Ross Batty, Kyle Eastmond and Leroy Houston (with Ollie Devoto kicking five points).
It was one of three Bath victories against the men from the Stoop in 2014/15, which went some way to easing the pain of being denied a Premiership play-off spot by Conor O'Shea's team the previous season.
The next two encounters were much closer affairs. On 31st January this year, a last-minute Rory Jennings penalty saw a youthful Bath side claim a thrilling 21-23 LV= Cup win. Four months later, a one-point 26-27 Premiership win for Bath (again at the Stoop) sealed the Club's playoff place, with scores from Francois Louw, Horacio Agulla and Leroy Houston.
This Saturday promises to be an equally close affair, with tickets still available online, over the phone on 0844 448 1865 or in person at the Bath Rugby Ticket Office.
Bath Rugby will also be hosting a free Open Captain's Run this Friday morning at the Rec, with gates opening at 10:00 for an 11:00 start.
