Bath Rugby to welcome 1,000 spectators for Gloucester Rugby visit – ticket update

A total of 1,000 tickets will be made available to Bath Rugby supporters when we host West Country rivals Gloucester Rugby at the Rec for Round 21 of the Gallagher Premiership (Tuesday 22 September, kick-off 17:30).

Bath Rugby’s application to Premiership Rugby and the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) was confirmed as successful on Wednesday 16th September and subsequent work between Bath Rugby and Bath and North East Somerset District Council is ongoing to secure all necessary approvals.

The match is the third rugby union pilot match in England and will be the first time supporters can return to the Rec for 205 days.

Who can attend?

Due to the reduced capacity of 1,000, tickets will only be made available to Bath Rugby Season Ticket Holders.

Ticket allocation

We anticipate demand for tickets will exceed supply. To facilitate a fair and balanced process, all Season Ticket Holders and Hospitality Customers will automatically be entered into an equal opportunity ticket selection.

Season Ticket Holders and Hospitality Customers will be entered in household groups: if you are a household with multiple Season Ticket Holders, you will be grouped within the household for that number of tickets.

Season Ticket Holders and Hospitality Customers will be notified if they have been successful on Friday 18th September, at which point there will be a limited window to purchase these tickets.

Ticket selection timings

Season Ticket Holders and Hospitality Customers will be automatically entered into the ticket selection. If you are successful, you will be notified by 10:00am on Friday 18 September.

All successful Season Ticket Holders and Hospitality Customers will then have until midnight on Friday 18 September to complete the purchase of their tickets.

How to purchase tickets

1. If successful you will receive an email with a unique URL to direct you to Bath Rugby e-ticketing & log in to your account.

2. Once logged in, please ensure your personal information is up to date. This is important for the government’s track and trace programme.

3. As the purchaser (or lead booker for your household), you can choose to pay your balance via credit or debit card or to use your existing account credit. Please note that only the lead booker can use their account credit. Credit from other Season Ticket Holder accounts cannot be transferred. This is due to a system limitation and we apologise for any inconvenience.

4. Once your purchase is complete you will receive a confirmation email.

5. Finally, you will receive your digital matchday ticket with all the information you will need to know, including our Supporters’ Code of Conduct.

Tickets will be for named supporters and are non-transferrable and non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. Photo ID will be required by every supporter on entrance into the grounds.

Ticket pricing

All seats are priced at £40 for adults and £30 for juniors and will be located in the East Stand.

How can tickets be paid for?

The lead purchaser will be able to use a credit or debit card for any purchases or their existing Season Ticket Holder account credit. You can choose how much credit to use against the cost of the tickets but credit across other Season Ticket Holder accounts is not transferable. This is due to system limitations.


Supporters will not be able to select their individual seats; nor will they be able to request to sit in their usual seat due to the impact of COVID-19 seating restrictions.

Seats will be allocated automatically as part of the selection process to ensure social distancing between individual and groups of supporters. Social distancing will be in place in both stands.

Supporters MUST read our new Supporter Code of Conduct. This will be emailed to you with your ticket confirmation.

Your safety is our top priority and we have put a number of measures in place to take care of you whilst you're at the Rec.

Hand sanitiser available on entry and in other locations in the ground.

Temperature checks prior to entry.

Seat service for food, drink and merchandise so you can stay in your seat.

Socially distance at all times

We are tremendously grateful for your ongoing support and appreciate your patience with getting supporters back into the Rec. Across the Club all staff are doing their utmost within a very short timeframe and turnaround to ensure all 1,000 tickets are allocated and used so that we can welcome 1,000 supporters in on Tuesday.

It is crucial the matchday runs smoothly with the limited number of supporters as an important step forward to returning more spectators to stadiums in the coming weeks and months.


Further Information

The government and DCMS confirmed “the pilot event will only take place if the latest scientific and medical advice allows for them to proceed in a COVID-secure way, and will be paused again if public health advice suggest conditions in the local area are not met.” Should the event be cancelled due to this, supporters would be refunded or re-credited in full.
