Bath Rugby have named their team to face Wasps for the Club's maiden visit to the Ricoh Arena this Saturday (k.o. 14:00).
After edging an intense encounter against Exeter Chiefs in the Premiership opener last weekend, Bath make only two changes for tomorrow's match: Ollie Devoto comes in at outside centre to make his 70th Club appearance, and Fijian scrum-half Niko Matawalu makes his first Aviva Premiership start.
Bath's back three features fullback Tom Homer and wings Anthony Watson and Semesa Rokoduguni (making his 60th appearance for Bath). In the midfield, Devoto lines up outside Kyle Eastmond at 12, with half-backs George Ford and Matawalu starting together for the first time.
The pack is unchanged from that which proved so crucial in defeating Exeter in the opening round of the Premiership. Nick Auterac, Ross Batty and Henry Thomas in the front row are bolstered by the lock pairing of captain Stuart Hooper (Bath's tryscorer last weekend) and Dave Attwood. Blindside Matt Garvey, openside Alafoti Faosiliva and number eight Leroy Houston comprise the back row.
New signing Rhys Priestland is in line to make his first appearance for Bath from the bench, with fellow Wales international Dom Day also among the replacements following both players' recent World Cup campaign. Meanwhile, Sam Burgess is rested for this weekend's match.
If you fancy making a day of it on Saturday around our game against Wasps, festivities kick-off at midday in the Jaguar Hall Fan Village at the Ricoh Arena, which will have a range of activities to entertain the family including an inflatable assault course, indoor climbing wall, interactive rugby games and an F1 simulator, alongside a performance from local band Speak Brother. That should warm us up nicely for the main action kick off on the pitch at 2pm.
After the match, Bath supporters are invited to have a free pint* in the Jaguar Hall, where the Rugby World Cup Semi Final between New Zealand and South Africa will be shown live on the big screen.
Tickets start at just £20 for adults and under 10s go FREE. To book tickets visit the ticketing page, call us on 02476 786411 or visit us at the Ricoh Arena Ticket Office.
