The Bath Rugby Community team recently enjoyed the assistance of several first team players for their kicking masterclass at the Rec.
It was a star-studded affair with George Ford, Tom Homer, Jonathan Joseph and Anthony Watson passing on their expertise to 30 very excited 13- to 18-year-olds.
With a wealth of knowledge and experience on hand, the participants listened intently as Ford instructed on the fine art of goal-kicking, Homer and Watson focused on accuracy and kicking out of hand, and Joseph demonstrated his trademark range of chips and grubber kicks (one of which set up his dazzling try on Friday night).
Following the hour-long session, everybody was treated to a Q&A session, followed by those all-important autographs and pictures!
A parent of one of the participants wrote of the masterclass: "On behalf of both me and my son Luke we would like to say many thanks for organising such a wonderful kicking session for the boys last night. I know Luke was still buzzing this morning and couldn't wait to get to school (for once!) to tell all his mates about it."
"What impressed me so much was the humility of the players and their willingness to interact and spend quality time with each boy individually during the session. It was also refreshing to see how happy they were to stay on at the end to pose for photos and to sign autographs. They are a great credit to Bath Rugby and to the game itself."
