Bath Rugby have today launched a new website in partnership with leading UK web developer, Semantic.
Phase one of the development (www.bathrugby.com) brings a new look and feel to the site, including simplified navigation, clearer fixture information and a mobile-responsive design, enabling supporters to stay up-to-date with all the latest Bath Rugby news wherever they are.
Phase two will see continued advancements to the Club’s eTicketing site and online shop, allowing supporters to purchase tickets and merchandise with more ease.
Founded in 1999, Semantic has clients in Europe, Asia and North America. Their work brings together design, technology and usability together to create thoughtful, usable websites.
"We always aim to put users first," said Semantic’s Managing Director, Nick Warren, “but this has been a more personal project than most.
“My Dad played schoolboy rugby at The Rec in the Sixties and is a lifelong Bath supporter, so this has put a slightly different emphasis on the work we’ve done. Putting the new site live is just the start of our journey with Bath Rugby, and we look forward to listening to supporters and continuing to improve the site over the next three years.”
Tarquin McDonald, Managing Director of Bath Rugby, added: "Digital media is fundamental to communications with our supporters, partners and followers. This partnership with Semantic will enable us to provide a much enhanced web experience, in keeping with the standards we expect of ourselves. The improved website is a key milestone in our digital strategy, which will now move on to progressing the Club’s eTicketing site and online shop.”
