11 September 2019

Bath Rugby have confirmed their team for the Premiership Rugby 7s, which gets underway on Friday 13th September at Franklin’s Gardens.

Director of Rugby, Stuart Hooper said: “The Premiership Rugby 7s provides the opportunity for some of our players to pull on the Bath Rugby shirt for the first time this season after a pre-season where our group have worked incredibly hard.

“This competition forms part of the journey into the new campaign and the Club’s focus remains on ensuring that we gain the best preparation from this competition and the Premiership Rugby Cup to take us into the Gallagher Premiership in the best possible shape.”

Davis commented on the Premiership Rugby 7s and the opportunity for those in the squad: “We’re fortunate to have been able to bring together an exciting squad with a mix of the best of our own young players alongside others with more sevens experience.

“This competition is a great way to lead into the season and we see it as a great opportunity and one that we can go up to Northampton and enjoy.”

After the pools are completed on Friday, matches will start at 14:30 on Saturday with the top eight ranked teams contesting the Cup quarter-finals. The remaining four sides will head into the Plate semi-finals, before the tournament concludes at 18:45.
