Bath Rugby is excited to confirm that the home European Rugby Challenge Cup quarter-final against Brive will take place on Saturday 1st April, kick-off 12:45.
The Club secured their place in the knock-out stages courtesy of a 69-10 victory over Pau last weekend and will face French opposition once again in a fixture that will bring back fond memories for the Bath supporters.
19 years ago, the Blue, Black and White faced Brive in the Heineken Cup Final and were on the back foot trailing 15-6 at half-time. However, a Jon Callard inspired performance saw Bath claim a dramatic last-gasp 19-18 victory, with a penalty from the fullback deep into stoppage time.
With a place in the semi-final of the competition at stake, it promises to be a thrilling 80 minutes of action at the Recreation Ground at the start of April.
Tickets will go on sale to Season Ticket Holders on Monday 6th February, Premium Members on Monday 13th February, Members on Thursday 16th February and on General Sale on Monday 20th February.
Director of Rugby, Todd Blackadder, said: “We are really excited to have secured a home quarter-final and I know that the history with Brive will add a little more spice to the fixture.
“To be at the Rec in front of our own supporters in the latter stages of the competition will be huge for the players and we’re really looking forward to having that crucial home advantage for the game in April.”
