Bath Rugby Community introduce Grassroots Series

17 October 2019

Over the course of the 2019/20 season, Bath Rugby's Community team will be taking players back to their Grassroots Clubs to delve into stories of their rugby journey and how they got involved in the game.

Bath Rugby would like to recognise the role local grassroots clubs have played in creating our professional athletes and championing the work volunteers carry out across our catchment area.

The aim of this series is to inspire more children to join their local rugby clubs and fall in love with the game, just as our players have done at the beginning of their professional careers. Rugby union's a game for everyone.

Rugby’s values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship are what makes the game special for those who enjoy the environment and culture they create. Get involved at your local club click here.

The first episode will feature Freddie Burns, where our fly-half returns to the Club where his journey began at Avon RFC. Burns meets up with his former coach to discuss old memories, delivers a kicking masterclass for a couple of lucky youngsters and talks about the importance of Grassroots Clubs.

The first episode will drop week commencing 28 October. Look out on our social channels to get involved.
