Bath Rugby can today confirm Head of Rugby Johann van Graan’s squad for the 2022/23 season.
Welcoming nine new faces to the club, as well as five Under-18s graduates, the Blue, Black and White have also had a number of current players commit their long-term future to the club.
Several members of the squad such as Cameron Redpath, Ruaridh McConnochie, Josh McNally, Josh Bayliss, D’Arcy Rae, Will Spencer and Lewis Boyce will return from long-term injuries in pre-season.
The squad will regather to prepare for the new campaign on 11 July with two friendlies, one of which has been confirmed against Jersey Reds preceding Round 1 of the Gallagher Premiership.

New Deals
Eleven players have renewed contracts ahead of the 2022/23 season.
England internationals Jonathan Joseph and Beno Obano have committed their futures with Bath Supporters’ and Players’ Player of the Season Will Muir also signing a new contract.
Homegrown duo Orlando Bailey and Max Ojomoh – who was awarded Academy Player of the Season - have graduated into the Senior Squad after impressive seasons which has seen both called up to England training squads by Eddie Jones.
Breakthrough Player of the Season Ewan Richards, a third to have received a full international call up, is another who has earned a new deal. Nahum Merigan, George Worboys and Frankie Read will continue their development at the club having penned fresh deals.
Experienced back row Richard de Carpentier and homegrown full-back Darren Atkins have also extended their time at the Rec.
Arrivals
A total of nine new players will join Bath Rugby this summer, strengthening the squad in positions across the board.
Dave Attwood returns and will add to his 157 appearances in Blue, Black and White, while experienced quartet Niall Annett, Chris Cloete, Louis Schreuder and Piers Francis have also been recruited.
Northampton Saints’ JJ Tonks and Wesley White of Jersey Reds add to van Graan’s options in the back row with Munster full-back Matt Gallagher and exciting young centre Louie Hennessey joining the back division.

Senior Academy Intake
Five exciting homegrown players have graduated from the Under-18s.
England Under-18 duo Arthur Green and Sam Harris will be part of the Senior Academy along with powerful forward duo Abdul-Khalik Akenzua Al Kareem and Will Jeanes, and exciting centre Will Parry.
