After a huge 2022/23 season, finishing top of the Championship South 1 table, Bath RFC Ladies are back for their first game of 2023/24 against Newbury Women RFC.
With a new Head Coach in the form of Maria Crowfoot, who is also Bath Rugby's Women's and Girls' Rugby Development Lead, Bath RFC Ladies will take to the pitch at The Rec following Bath Rugby v Jersey Reds on Saturday.
Naming the first official Bath RFC Ladies team of the season, coach Crowfoot has included some familiar faces in the likes of Thea Thompson on the wing and Chloe Williams at centre, who both featured for Bath Rugby Women's sevens over the summer.
In the front row, Hannah Stephens and Emily Marshall will line up at prop, with Lucy McGrath in at hooker.
In the second row, Marlo Boyd and Clea Fawcett lock in at 4 and 5, with Fawcett taking the captain's armband. Kat Hyland, Anya Lewis and Chloe Fletcher complete the pack.
In the Ladies half back pairing, Abbie Watkin and Sarah Holloway line up at scrum-half and fly-half respectively.
Enya Lackie also features in the centre, with Amy Guerrini and Holly Wells completing the starting XV.
On the bench, former University of Bath Women's Rugby captain, Mairéad McErlean, features as back row replacement. McErlean was also part of the Sevens set up over the summer, along with Bethan Thomas and Liv Taylor, also on the bench.
Sophie Goulder-Perks, Zoë Lewis, Sarah Humphries, and Chloe Sopp will too look to add fresh legs to the field come replacement time.
The game kicks off at 15:15 at The Rec following Bath Rugby's fixture against Jersey Reds in Round 2 of the Premiership Rugby Cup.
