Appeals against the bans given to Matt Banahan and Lee Mears on Tuesday evening have both been dismissed.
Banahan's appeal was against his three-week ban following his sending off in the match against Leicester Tigers for a dangerous tackle. The original suspension stands and he is free to play again on December 24th.
Mears had been banned for two weeks following his citing for punching or striking an opponent contrary to Law 10.4(a) in the same match following a report from the independent citing officer John Byett. The original suspension stands and he is free to play again on December 17th.
