Excitement is building ahead of Sunday’s all-important clash against Glasgow Warriors at the Recreation Ground, kick-off 13.00.
The team is excited to be back home in front of a sold-out Rec following the momentous victory over Toulouse, and we want our supporters to be in full voice. Ahead of kick-off, we’re inviting you all to cheer on the team as they begin their final preparations. From 11.50, they will make the walk from the cricket pavilion (on the outfield near the William Street gate) to the changing rooms. Bath Rugby flags will be handed out and we want you to create a tunnel of noise and colour!
Leroy Houston is in line to make his 50th appearance tomorrow for Bath - see who else will be running out in the Blue, Black and White here.
We’re also celebrating Burns Night Bath Rugby style on Sunday, by hosting an ‘Alternative Highland Games’ on the outfield! There will be a whole host of inflatable fun and games taking place from 11.00 for all ages to enjoy, so make sure you get down to the Rec nice and early!
Enjoy a mid-morning snack from 11.00 to midday with our special offer – pick up a bacon sandwich from the Hunger Hut (underneath the North Stand), The Hatch or the Bath Rugby BBQ on the outfield for just £2, and you’ll get 50% off a Jika Jika coffee, who have an outlet on the outfield.
The usual winter warmers will also be available around the ground throughout the day. Soup of the Day is Tomato and Basil, available at all the East Stand bars, and priced at just £2.00 per cup. Or why not try our 'Hot Toddy' offer? Hot water with The Famous Grouse Whisky sweetened with honey will keep you toasty warm throughout the game, and is available from all East Stand bars.
Pieminister’s Pie of the Match is the ‘Matador’ – a yummy combination of British steak, chorizo, olive and butter beans - and costs just £4.50.
After the match, be sure to stick around and enjoy the atmosphere in the Swift Half where we will have a live jazz band.
A wide and heavy lorry will be passing through the area tomorrow, so please leave plenty of time if you are intending to drive to the Rec.
From 07:00 it will be escorted by police westbound along the M4 from Membury, past Swindon and Chippenham to junction 18, the turn off for Bath.
Then it will take a circuitous route to Melksham, travelling down the A46 to the Cold Ashton roundabout, back east along the A420 to Chippenham, and down the A350 Chippenham bypass to the Sainsbury's roundabout.
Then it will head west again along the A4 to Corsham and then down the B3109 towards Bradford on Avon, turning left onto the A365 towards Melksham.
It will pass through Shaw and Atworth before finally arriving at Westlands Lane via the B3353.
Tickets for the match have sold-out and the Ticket Office do not anticipate any returns at this stage. The game is being broadcast live on BT Sport, BBC Radio Bristol will have full commentary with our own David Sisi as guest commentator, and as always you can follow us on Twitter, @bathrugby for live updates throughout the game.
