Semesa Rokoduguni has signed a full time contract with Bath Rugby, the Club can today confirm.
Rokoduguni, a reconnaissance tank soldier of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards in the British Army, has impressed during a trial period with the Club, scoring tries on both his appearances with Bath United and being relentless in defence.
He has two caps for the Army, scoring four tries against the Royal Air Force and a hat-trick against the Royal Navy at Twickenham in the more recent, which ensured he was awarded man of the match.
The Fijian is a strong presence in the back line, and will add great strength in depth to the Bath squad.
Gary Gold, Head Coach, commented: "Roko really caught the eye playing for the Army at Twickenham earlier in the year, and continued to do so when he came on trial with us. We believe he has the ability to play professional rugby, and the Army has supported his desire to test himself at this level while he is still a serving soldier. He is strong, quick, and very committed, both during games and training, and we're looking forward to having him in the squad."
